Modulim, a recognized leader in optical imaging solutions for the non-invasive assessment of tissue health, exhibited its ClarifiTM Imaging System at this year’s 2019 Western Foot and Ankle Conference (The Western) at the Disneyland Hotel and Convention Center in Anaheim, California. Clarifi was on display at Modulim’s booth (#819) in the South Exhibit Hall for the entire duration of the conference (June 20 through June 22).
Presented by the California Podiatric Medical Association (CPMA), The Western is one of the largest exhibitions and educational meetings in the podiatric medical community, attracting foot and ankle specialists, including doctors of podiatric medicine, medical assistants, and office managers, throughout the United States and abroad.
As an exhibitor, Modulim shared its proprietary spatial frequency domain imaging (SFDI) driven technology, which powers its’ Clarifi Imaging System, and deciphers the reflection, absorbance, and scattering of light in tissue to accurately measure key biomarkers of tissue health. Clarifi is designed to provide clinicians with a fast, reliable and objective tool to monitor and assess tissue oxygenation and perfusion in patients with potential compromised circulation and uniquely identifies two key perfusion metrics not identified by any other technology: HbT1 and HbT2.
Making waves: Exhibits, scientific posters and beyond
In addition to The Western, Modulim exhibited its Clarifi Imaging System last month for the first time at the Symposium on Advanced Wound Care (SAWC) Spring in San Antonio, and later at New Cardiovascular Horizons (NCVH) in New Orleans. In July, Modulim will be a corporate sponsor and exhibit Clarifi at one of the biggest podiatric events of the year – the 2019 Annual Scientific Meeting (The National), hosted by the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA).
Modulim’s VP of Research and Development Amaan Mazhar, Ph.D., also presented on a NIH-funded SBIR study with David Armstrong, D.P.M., M.D., Ph.D., a professor of surgery at University of Southern California’s (USC’s) Keck School of Medicine at the 8th International Symposium on the Diabetic Foot (ISDF), hosted by the International Working Group on the Diabetic Foot (IWGDF). The scientific poster, titled, “Rapid non-invasive quantitative optical imaging of microcirculation for prediction of reulceration for people in diabetic foot remission,” was presented at The Hague in the Netherlands on May 22.
