Modulim to Exhibit Clarifi at Annual New Cardiovascular Horizons Conference

New Orleans, LA—May 29, 2019—

Modulim, recognized leader in optical imaging solutions for non-invasive assessment of tissue health, will exhibit its Clarifi Imaging System this week at the 20th Annual New Cardiovascular Horizons (NCVH) Conference in New Orleans. Hands-on demos of Clarifi will be available at Modulim’s booth (#218) throughout the event.

The exhibition of Modulim’s subsurface optical imaging technology at NCVH comes on the heels of the company’s unveiling of Clarifi at the Symposium on Advanced Wound Care (SAWC) Spring Meeting in San Antonio, Texas, earlier this month. Powered by Modulim’s proprietary spatial frequency domain imaging (SFDI) technology, Clarifi aims to provide clinicians with a fast, reliable and objective tool to assess tissue oxygenation and perfusion in patients with potential compromised circulation – which has been known to contribute to conditions such as critical limb ischemia, non-healing wounds and foot complications.

Clarifi will also be featured at a clinical workshop hosted by Jeffrey D. Lehrman, D.P.M., board of directors at the American Professional Wound Care Association, on Thursday, May 30. The workshop, titled, “See What’s Missing: Microvascular Assessment with SFDI,” will discuss microvascular assessment using SFDI to measure compromised circulation due to arterial insufficiency in peripheral tissue.

“We’re proud to be sharing our Clarifi Imaging System with the diverse population of healthcare professionals who will be attending NCVH this year,” said David Cuccia, Ph.D., Modulim’s founding CEO and CTO. “Our mission, like NCVH’s, is prevention. Clarifi has the ability to provide clinically actionable information that helps healthcare professionals identify patients with compromised circulation and pinpoint areas of concern so that care can be implemented – we believe this should resonate strongly with these clinicians.”

Founded in 1999, NCVH is an educational nonprofit foundation that hosts multidisciplinary accredited conferences to advance the field of cardiovascular care, with a special focus on lower extremity peripheral artery disease (PAD) and critical limb ischemia (CLI) to address the need for amputation prevention techniques. More than 1,500 healthcare professionals, including endovascular specialists, podiatrists, family physicians, nurses and cath lab technologists, are expected to attend the 2019 Annual NCVH Conference in New Orleans from May 29-31, 2019.

About Modulim

Modulim is a pioneer in subsurface optical imaging powered by SFDI, an advanced imaging technique co-invented by founding CEO and CTO David Cuccia, Ph.D. SFDI is a non-invasive tissue oxygen saturation technology that combines structured illumination with multiple wavelengths of light (visible and near-infrared) to allow for deeper and layer-specific assessment of tissue oxygenation and hemoglobin. This unique technology deciphers the reflection, absorbance, and scattering of light in tissue to accurately measure key biomarkers of tissue health and quantifies two key perfusion metrics not identified by any other technology: HbT1 and HbT2. The new Clarifi Imaging System, powered by SFDI, is indicated for measuring tissue oxygenation and perfusion in patients with potential circulatory compromise. For more information, visit
